Booking and payment
Reservations are made on our website. Rates are $80 per hour Monday to Thursday and $115 per hour Friday to Sunday, with a 5-hour minimum. Bookings of 8 hours or more receive 10% off the hourly rate. Every booking adds a one-time $100 cleaning fee, plus any add-ons you choose. We do not charge sales tax.
The full amount is paid when you book, by card, PayPal, or Zelle. A reservation is confirmed once payment is received. Zelle bookings are held for 24 hours while we confirm the transfer.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancel 30 days or more before your start time for a full refund. Cancel between 30 and 7 days before your start time for a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 7 days before your start time are not refundable.
To change your date, contact us as early as possible. New dates depend on availability.
Your reservation time
Your reservation includes setup and cleanup, so please book enough time for both. Early entry needs our approval, and arriving late does not extend your end time.
If you stay more than 5 minutes past your end time without approval, your booking is extended by 30 minutes at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate. Extensions requested and approved during your reservation are billed at the standard hourly rate, and only when no booking follows yours.
Guests and use of the space
MARPA welcomes up to 60 guests. The number of guests may not exceed the number on your reservation without our approval. The person who books is responsible for the conduct of every guest, and children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Pets are welcome with prior approval.
You may rearrange the furniture; please return everything to its original place before you leave. No smoking or vaping inside, no firearms or illegal substances, and no tape, nails, tacks, command strips, adhesives, glitter, confetti, smoke bombs, fog machines, candles, sparklers, or open flames.
Food, drinks, and alcohol
Outside food, drinks, catering, and alcohol are welcome. Cooking on site is not allowed. Everyone drinking alcohol must be 21 or older, alcohol may not be sold, and the person who books is responsible for responsible drinking under the law.
Damage and additional charges
The person who books is responsible for any damage to the studio, furniture, décor, equipment, fixtures, or finishes during the reservation. By booking, you authorize MARPA Studio to charge the payment method used for your booking for repair or replacement costs, extra cleaning, and time beyond your reservation.
Set fees: smoking or vaping inside, $200. Bulky trash left behind, $200. Damaged paper backdrop, $20. Damaged curtains, $50. Damaged backdrop stand or curtain track, $100.
Access, parking, and belongings
We send access instructions, including your lockbox code, before your reservation. Unload briefly in front of the studio, then use nearby street parking; parking in the front driveway or on the back patio is not allowed.
MARPA Studio is not responsible for personal belongings. Items left behind are kept for 14 days and then donated or discarded.
Your information
We use your name, email, and phone number to manage your booking and contact you about it. Payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
